Mrs. Emily Claire Whiting

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Emily Claire Whiting, age 82 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, March 29, 2024.  Mrs. Whiting was born in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Edgar Allen and  Bessie Mae Hardwick.  Mrs. Whiting retired from Crawford and Company as a Computer Technician. Emily most enjoyed time with her family, being outside with her flowers and watching the birds. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whiting is preceded by a son, Daniel Glen Clark and a brother, Wesley Allen Hardwick.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Whiting of Jefferson.  Daughters, Amy Brandelik (Jay) of Gainesville, Lori Lynn Swink of Hoschton and Robin L. Jo (Sang W) of Hoschton. Grandchildren, Skylar Gwin, Jana Valdez (Jesse), Jessica Gaynor (Chris), Kristin Clark (Kevin), Abbie Alpha (Tyler) and Matthew Clark. Great Grandchildren, Harper, Thomas, lliana, Sofia and Evie. Brothers-in-law, Ed Whiting and Terry Whiting (Carrie) of Maine.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday July 7, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.  The family request that friends attending the service wear casual clothing and bright colors in honor of Mrs. Whiting.
