Mrs. Eula Mae (Latty) Shaw

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Eula Mae Latty Shaw, age 85 of Pendergrass, Georgia who entered rest Monday, October 16, 2023.  Mrs. Shaw was born in Jackson County, Georgia a daughter of the late Lester Duel Latty and the late Nellie Mae Fleming Latty.  Mrs. Shaw graduated from Lyman Hall School, was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and was retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.  In addition to  her parents, Mrs. Shaw is preceded by her husband of fifty-eight years, Mr. Gene Durward Shaw, brother, Duel Junior Latty, sister, Nellie Grace Latty and brothers in laws, Harold and Randall Shaw.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Shaw of Pendergrass, daughter, Darlene Shaw of Talmo.  Brother, Harley Latty of Gainesville, sister Beulah Land (Donald) of Pendergrass.  Sisters in laws, Betty Jo Latty of Talmo, Marilyn Carlyle of Hiawasse, Vera Dean Wetherford of Pendergrass, Kay Gearin (David) of Braselton.  Brothers in laws Kenneth Shaw of Pendergrass and W.F. Shaw (Pat) of Winder.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 19, 2023 from the Belmont Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Compton and Mr. Barry Latty officiating with burial to follow in the Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Bart Latty, Jay Latty, Jase latty, Jeff Sandrock, Cade Sandrock, Joel Murphy, Joe Lancaster and Dillon Shaw.  The family will receive friends 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Eula Mae Latty Shaw to the Belmont Baptist Church Building Fund, 3635 Belmont Highway, Gainesville, Georgia  30507.
