Mrs. Evelyn Louise (Bridges) Evans

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Evelyn Bridges Evans, age 71 of Hoschton, Georgia who entered rest Saturday, February 14, 2026.  Mrs. Evans was born in Atlanta, Georgia a daughter of the late Franklin Dee Bridges and the late Doris Virginia Evans Bridges.  Mrs. Evans was a retired Para Pro with the Jackson County School System.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Evans is preceded by a brother Johnny Bridges.

Evelyn enjoyed being a proud and devoted Mom and Wife and enjoyed traveling and camping after retirement.

Survivors include her husband Robert D. Evans of Hoschton.  Daughter, Sandy Evans (Graeme May) of Statesboro, son, Michael Evans (Hanna) of Manassas, Virginia and one grandchild on the way.  Sister, Mildred Kinney, two brothers, Harold and Tony Bridges and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 20, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Friday, prior to the service.
