Mrs. Evelyn Bryson Manning

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Evelyn Bryson Manning, age 91, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Mrs. Manning was born in Hiawasee, Georgia, a daughter to the late Orville and Maude McConnell Bryson. Mrs. Manning was retired from the Gwinnett County School System where she was a Secretary and a Bookkeeper. Mrs. Manning was a member of the Jefferson First United Methodist Church and the Jefferson Garden Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Joe Manning. 

Survivors include her son, Lt. Col.(Ret.) Joel B. Manning and Family of Washington State; daughter, Alice Manning Lyle and her husband Robert and family of Pendergrass; brother, Elmer Bryson and his wife Pat of Hiawasee, GA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
