Mrs. Fay (Donaldson) Moon

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Fay Donaldson Moon, age 84, of Pendergrass, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, December 5, 2024. Mrs. Moon was born in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Lee Donaldson and the late Edna Atkinson Donaldson.

Mrs. Moon, a faithful pastor’s wife, was owner/operator of a poultry farm and earlier in life, worked as an operator with Southern Bell. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had been attending Academy Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her husband, Reverend Alexander Moon of Pendergrass, GA. Five sons, Donald Moon (Carol) of Jefferson, GA, Tim Moon (Patty) of Gainesville, GA, Steve Moon (Tammy) of Gainesville, GA, Mike Moon (Sandra) of Gainesville, GA and Lee Moon (Tammy) of Lula, GA. Thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Four sisters, Jean Bogart of Dunwoody, GA, Brenda Beary (Bobby) of Cumming, GA, Debra Puette (Mark) of Lilburn, GA and Shirley Barge (Cory) of Woodstock, GA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Sunday prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
