Mrs. Geraldine "Jerri" (Moore) Long

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Geraldine “Jerri” Moore Long, age 82, of Commerce, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025. Mrs. Long was born in Monroe, North Carolina, a daughter to the late E.M. and Patricia Pfiefer Moore. Mrs. Long was a bookkeeper with Allstate Insurance, retiring in 1997. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Douthit and brother, Michael Moore. Mrs. Long was the last living member of her immediate family.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jesse T. Long, Jr. of Commerce; daughter, Tamara Philabum and her husband Jeff of Commerce; son, Anthony Todd Long and his wife Cheryl of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Erica Buchan and her husband Sam, Kyle Mudry all of Jefferson, GA, Marie Philabum of Norfolk, VA, Aaron Long of Lincolnton, NC; great grandchildren, Maggie and Miller Buchan of Jefferson, GA and Piper Reid of Norfolk, VA.

A Celebration of Life service will be held later in North Carolina.
