Mrs. Gladys (Beck) Thomas

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Gladys Beck Thomas, age 82 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, May 21, 2026.  Mrs. Thomas was born in Commerce, Georgia a daughter of the late Harold and Ruby Evans Beck.  Mrs. Thomas was a member of Nicholson Baptist Church,  was a homemaker and will forever be remembered as “Nanny” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas is preceded by a grandson, Kenneth Thomas. Sister, Sybil Waters, brothers, Paul, Randall, Donald and Clifford Beck.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Clarence Allen Thomas of Jefferson.  Sons, Tim Thomas and his wife Leigh Ann of Jefferson, Ken Thomas of Jefferson.  Grandchildren, Jessica Culton, Hannah Trimble, Samuel Thomas, Isaac Thomas and Sara Kate Thomas.  Great grandchildren, Mason Hutchins, Owen Trimble, and Lee Thomas.  Brother, Ronald Beck, sisters, Brenda Crane and Linda Ward also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 23, 2026 from the Nicholson Baptist Church with her son Tim Thomas officiating along with Pastor Russ Brown.  Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia.  The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the Church.
