Mrs. Hilda Sue (Wilson) Carithers

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Hilda Sue Wilson Carithers, age, 96 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Saturday, October 11, 2025.  Mrs. Carithers was born November 8, 1928 in Jefferson Georgia ( Dry Pond Community ) to the late Finn and Lizzie Blackstock Wilson.  Mrs. Carithers was employed as a waitress for U.S. Sugar and was of the Baptist Faith. 

In addition to her parents Mrs. Carithers is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Samuel Carithers and a daughter, Melody Ann Carithers.

Mrs. Carithers was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include daughers, Linda Carithers, Key Largo, Florida, Michelle Sue Caryl ( John Autry ), Jefferson, Georgia;  3 grandchildren, and 9 great great great grandchildren, Kelley, Kenneth, Josh Kelley and Melody Caryl.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Galilee Christian Church Cemetery.
