Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Janice Pethel Dowker, age 55 of Winder, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, April 4, 2024. Mrs. Dowker was born in Gainesville, Georgia the daughter of the late Eddie LaVern Pethel and the late Deborah Dodd Pethel. Mrs. Dowker was a licensed Insurance Agent and a member of Galilee Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Duane Dowker of Winder. Daughter, Traci Strickland (Blake) of Jefferson, Son, Anthony Dowker (Jessica) of Jefferson. Brother, Eddie Pethel (Rachel) of Jefferson. Five grandchildren, Isabella, Gabby, Grant, Alyssa, and Wyatt. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P. M. Sunday, April 7, 2024 from the Galilee Christian Church with Minister Nick Vipperman officiating. Burial will follow in the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Sean Kingbird, Cody Manley, Brian Langford, Jeremy Standridge, Brian Standridge and Jonathan Ingram. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the Church.
