Mrs. Jean (Jackson) Bullock

Mrs. Jean Jackson Bullock, age 81 of Jefferson, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Haven Memory Center, Athens, Georgia. Mrs. Bullock was born in Jackson County to the late, J.C. and Eleanor Potts Jackson. Mrs. Bullock was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she served in many roles for the last 60 years. She retired from Jackson County Schools and Jefferson City Schools after 50 years in education. Mrs. Bullock was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vance Bullock, and son, Larry Vance “Van” Bullock, Jr., brothers, Joe Jackson and Brett Jackson.

Mrs. Bullock is survived by her daughter, Michelle Bullock Reece (Jay), of Ellijay and daughter in love, Beth Woody Bullock, Murrayville, brother, Brian Jackson (Cindy) of Bold Springs. Grandchildren, EB Reece Cole (Shane) of Cumming, Trey Reece (Morgan) of Atlanta, Amy Bullock (Ford) of Bogart, Colby Reece (Kieffer) of Marietta, and Tripp Bullock (Brooke) of Jefferson, and great grandchild, Noah James Reece.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Jefferson First United Methodist Church with Reverend Ross Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 13, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
