Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Joann Watkins Moore, age 61 of Athens, Georgia (South Jackson Community) who entered rest Thursday, October 26, 2023. Mrs. Moore was born in Atlanta, Georgia a daughter of the late Kenneth Wayne Watkins and Eleanor Sue Griffeth of Dallas, Georgia. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker.

Survivors in addition to her mother is her husband, H.T. Moore of Athens. Sisters, Norma Jean TerBeek, and Patty Lynn Watkins. Brothers, Michael Wayne Watkins and Mathew Wayne Watkins. Niece, Yvonne Archer, step daughter, Towana Moore, step sons, Jeff Moore and Joe Moore. One grandchild, Christopher Watkins.

In accordance with the wishes of Mrs. Moore, her remains are to be cremated and a private family burial service will be held.
