Mrs. Joanne (Lance) Rainwater

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Joanne Lance Rainwater, age 67 of Pendergrass, Georgia (Mountain Creek Community) who entered rest Sunday, September 28, 2025.  Mrs. Rainwater was born in Winder, Georgia a daughter of the late Joe Ben Lance and the late Peggy Jean Dixon Lance.  Mrs. Rainwater retired from the Publishing Business.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rainwater is preceded by a brother, Roger Keith Lance.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip D. Rainwater of Pendergrass.  Son, Brian Phillip Rainwater (Kristy) of Pendergrass.  Sister, Shirley Lance Stansel (Benny) of Maysville, brother, Tommy Joe Lance (Phyllis) of Eastman.  Two grandchildren, Camden Chase Rainwater and Kennedy Leigh Rainwater also survive.

In accordance with the wishes of Mrs. Rainwater, her remains are to be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from Evans Memory Gardens with Reverend Scott Lance officiating.  The family will receive friends at the graveside prior to and after the service.
