Mrs. Joy (Buck) Bowden

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Joy Buck Bowden, age 95 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, September 21, 2025.  Mrs. Bowden was born in Fitchburg, MA, a daughter of the late Wesley John Buck and the late Lenona Frances Keddie Buck.  Mrs. Bowden was retired from Richs and was a member of the Buford First United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowden is preceded by sisters, Julie Lambert and Susan Clark.

Survivors include her children; Bonnie Miller of Little River, SC, Diana Guidry (Randy) of Cooper City, FL, Robin Floyd (Steve) of Fairmont, NC, Vicki White (David) of Jefferson, GA,  Steven Bowden (Carol) of Evans, GA.  Sisters, Linda Davis (Ralph) of Atlanta, Audrey Hardin (Gerald) of Elberton.  Nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

According to the wishes of Mrs. Bowden, her remains are to be cremated and a family service will be held at a later time.
