Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. June Young Arata, age 81, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, January 2, 2025. Mrs. Arata was born in Americus, Georgia the daughter of the late Curtis Williamson Young Jr and the late Ferol Revell Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Arata,
Mrs. Arata was a graduate of the University of Georgia and retired as the Director of Information Technology with Northfork Southern Railroad.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Young (Sandra) of Newnan, GA, Antonio Arata (Nancy) of Richmond Hills, GA and Ryan Arata (Jennaleigh) of Jefferson, GA. Eleven grandchildren and a sister, Diane Wilson of Henry County, GA also survive.
In accordance with Mrs. Arata’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held.
