Mrs. Kathleen (Free) Strickland

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Kathleen Strickland, age 84, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday August 21, 2024. Mrs. Strickland was born in Madison County, Georgia the daughter of the late Lloyd and Iola Lord Free. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Strickland, two sons, William and Kendall Strickland and several  brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Strickland worked as a seamstress and loved to go to the Senior Citizens Center to play bingo and be with her friends. She loved working in her yard and attended Galilee Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Karen Dill of Jefferson, GA and Rosie Cash (Jack) of Statham, GA. Granddaughter, Destiny Lauren Dill of Jefferson, GA. Grandson, Bryan Cash of Statham, GA. Two great grandsons and two great great grandsons also survive. The family would like to thank her two caregivers, Katherine Butler and Faye Swain.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday August 26, 2024 at Crooked Creek Church Cemetery with Reverend Dugar Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
