Mrs. Mary Florine (Carver) Christopher

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Mary Florine Christopher, age 88, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, November 28, 2025. Mrs. Christopher was born in Blairsville, Georgia the daughter of the late James Carver and the late Alpha Towe Carver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert Christopher, son, Bobby Christopher and 5 siblings. 

Mrs. Christopher worked as a supervisor with WalMart in Winder, Georgia. She worked retail for some years in her career. Retiring from WalMart she would travel with her husband as he was a truck driver. 

She was a great cook, baker, gardner, and hummingbird feeder. She could be found sitting on her front porch watching the humming birds feed off the feeders. You could visit at times and always find her homemade biscuits and tenderloin, in her bun warmer that sat on her table. Holidays were always sent home with her homemade chocolate cakes, and homemade candies. When not sitting on her porch you coud find her sitting in her chair with Hallnark movies on her tv.

She will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. As we pass on the things she has taught us along the way. She loved all her family and would put others before herself. Always giving hugs, kisses, and a I love goodbyes.

Survivors include daughter, Shirley Wells (Don) of Stockbridge, GA. Son, Rickie Christopher (Juliann) of Commerce, GA. Six grandchildren, Stephanie Briggs (Jason) of Kansas City, MO, Patti Bunger (Jake) of McDonough, GA, J.T. Wells (Amanda) of McDonough, GA, Rickie Christopher (Jerry) of Tampa, FL, Christy Martinez of Jefferson, GA and Melissa Conner of Alabama. Fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and two sisters, Nettie Canup of Thompson, GA, Faye Gray of Winder, GA also survive.

In accordance with Mrs. Christopher’s wishes, she will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
