Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Nancy Eleanor Pankevich, age 78, of Commerce, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, April 19, 2026. Mrs. Pankevich was born in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Julius Knamm and the late Helen Disbrow Knamm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Knamm.
Mrs. Pankevich was a homemaker, loved to go antiquing and collecting Redware, a earthware pottery. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Pankevich Sr. of Commerce, GA. Son, Bill Pankevich Jr. (Nichole) of Maysville, GA. Daughter, Sarah Pankevich of Pennsylvania. Four grandchildren, Austin Pankevich (Shelby), Sydney Peck (Trevor), Taylor Henry (Caleb) and Aaron Huff. Five great grandchildren. Sister, Helen “Honey” Crater of Florida. Brother, Willard Knamm of North Carolina. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In accordance with Mrs. Pankevich wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
