Mrs. Naomi Joyce (Minor) Carlson

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Naomi Joyce Minor Carlson, age 100 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, February 8, 2025.  Mrs. Carlson was born in Buffalo, New York the daughter of the late Harvey and Jessie Ellsworth Minor.  Mrs. Carlson was a member of Academy Baptist Church and was an avid golfer, a cancer survivor and loved playing Bridge and Bingo.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald William Carlson and a son, William Donald Carlson.

Survivors include a son, James Gunnar Carlson (Cynthia) of Bluffton, South Carolina and Daughter-in-law, Suzanne Schwab Carlson of Jefferson, GA. Six grandchildren, Tracy Sadowski of Buford, Dawn Giovinazzo (Giorgio) of Welland, Ontario Canada, Trevor Carlson Sr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Erik Carlson of Guyton, Georgia, Laura Crawn (Justin) of Hampstead, North Carolina, Denise Smith (Douglas) of Tonawanda, New York.  8 Great grandchildren also survive. 

A memorial service is to be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2025 at The Highlands Senior Living, 50 Sumner Way, Jefferson, Georgia with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating.
