Mrs Pandora Lane "Penny" (Slay) Bloodworth

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Pandora Lane “Penny” Bloodworth, age 73, of Talmo, Georgia who entered rest Friday, June 5, 2026. Mrs. Bloodworth was born in Greensboro, Georgia the daughter of the late Manley Slay and the late, Algie Mae West Slay. 

Mrs. Bloodworth worked as a teacher with the Westminster Christian School in Gainesville, Georgia. Penny was a  faithful member of Crossroads Church of Jackson County. She loved her Lord and Savior. She often gently reminded others to be "happy, happy!" She was clothed in kindness, grace, exemplary love, and quiet strength. She enjoyed horses, drawing, music, art, and jewelry making. Most of all she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, who all lovingly called her "Grandy".

Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Paul Harold “Sonny” Bloodworth II of Talmo, GA. Two sons, Marty Bloodworth (Den) of Commerce, GA and Jeremy Bloodworth (Kristin) of Dacula, GA. Five grandchildren, Joshua Bloodworth, Ethan E, Ezra Bloodworth all of Commerce, GA and Kole Bloodworth and Jacob Bloodworth of Dacula, GA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 11, 2026 from Talmo Baptist Church with Pastor Rod Zwemke and Pastor Derek Spain officiating with burial to follow in Talmo Church Cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Joshua Bloodworth, Ethan E, Ezra Bloodworth, Logan Ross and Charlie Nicholson. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
