Mrs. Peggy Ann (Akin) Vandergriff

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Peggy Ann Vandergriff, age 68, of Commerce, Georgia who entered rest Thursday May 16, 2024. Mrs. Vandergriff was born in Winder, Georgia the daughter of the late James Akin and the late Mary Lou McKimsey Akin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Akin and a sister, Elsie Mae Akin.

Mrs. Vandergriff worked as a security guard with Wayne Poultry Farms. 

Survivors include her daughter, Breann Vandergriff of Commerce, GA. Sister, Bretie Hicks of Maysville, GA. Brother, David Akin of Braselton, GA.

In accordance with Mrs. Vandergriff’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services are to held.
