Rebecca Rachael McWilliams
December 26, 1952 – November 2, 2025
Rebecca Rachael McWilliams, of Jefferson, Georgia, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on December 26, 1952, in Indianapolis to Floyd W. and Phoebe L. (Smoot) McWilliams, Rebecca lived a life filled with faith, kindness, and creativity. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Phoebe “Cindy” Bartley.
Rebecca is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Erickson; her daughter, Amy Morris of Clermont, Georgia; and her soon-to-be son-in-law, Jamey Brown. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Taylor and Myles Morris, Kalynn Ballard, and Logan, Kirstyn, Camden, and Connor Brown. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Abby McWilliams of Columbus, Ohio; brother in law, Ray (Verneta) Erickson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her nieces and nephews; and her “adopted son,” James Holmes, along with his family.
Rebecca found joy in life’s simple blessings — reading a good book, crafting beautiful handmade pens, studying her Bible, and spending time with her family, neighbors, friends and cherished animals. Her gentle spirit, warm laughter, and unwavering faith touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her love and light will continue to shine through her family and the many lives she graced with her kindness.
Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Jefferson, Georgia, on Thursday, November 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
