Mrs. Sara (Deaton) Hill

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Sara Deaton Hill, age 80 of Auburn,  (Formerly of Jefferson, Georgia) who entered rest Sunday, July 14, 2024.  Mrs. Hill was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia a daughter of the late William Pickney Deaton and the late Mary Pauline Everett Deaton.  Mrs. Hill was of the Methodist Faith, a Homemaker and a Minister’s wife for thirty six years. As part of her ministry, Mrs. Hill would devote much of her time to the elderly and young people in the community that she felt needed special attention.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill is preceded by her husband, Reverend Hulon Hill and a son, Charles Hill.

Survivors include a son, Tim Hill and his wife Lisa of Auburn, daughter, Brenda Christopher and her husband Tommy of Cleveland.  Sister, Carol Hamlin of Lawrenceville.  Grandchildren, Amber Hill Cooper (Kyle), Pierson Hill, Brock Hill, Misty Christopher Troyer (Bobby).  Great grandchildren, David Cooper, Carson Cooper, Eli Troyer, and Abel Troyer.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 21, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Giefing, Reverend Sammy Everett officiating.  The family will receive friends   1:00 – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
