Mrs. Sara Reyes Mateos

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Sara Reyes Mateos, age 105 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, October 12, 2025.  Mrs. Mateos was born in Cañada Morelos, Puebla, Mexico the daughter of the late Asuncion Mateos and the late Elidia Reyes Vallardo.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mateos is preceded by her husband Ambrosio Benitez and her daughter, Edelmira Benitez Mateos.

Mrs. Mateos was a homemaker and was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include a son Javier Mateos of Conneticutt.  Grandsons Jonathan Mateos of Flowery Branch and Eduardo Paez of Jefferson.  Daughter in law, Lorena Mateos of Conneticutt.

Funeral services will be held later in Mexico.
