Mrs. Sheila Lynn (Williamson) Underwood

Sheila Lynn Underwood, age 77, of Pendergrass, Georgia, passed away on Thursday. May 30, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Sheila, born in Jefferson, Georgia, was the daughter of the late Wyatt Williamson and the late Serena Dell Williamson. 

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harry Underwood. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Burke Williamson. Sisters-in-laws, Blanche Kinney, Joan Cody, Elaine Underwood, and Kay Underwood. Brothers-in-laws, Johnny Underwood, Jimmy Underwood, Thomas Underwood, and John Cody.

Sheila was a member of the Mountain Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Underwood Pearson (Steve) of Pendergrass, and Jennifer Underwood (Kerry) of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Chad Pearson (Angie Patrick), Casey Reed (Sandy Duncan), Jaylin Reed and London Jamison; great grandchildren, Patrick Pearson, Chase Pearson and Camryn Reed; two brothers, Pat Williamson (Joan) of Dallas, Texas, Ronnie Williamson (Sandi) of Braselton; sister, Kellie England (Steve) of Hull; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Underwood Channell of Jefferson, Linda Underwood of Pendergrass; two brothers-in-law, Charles Underwood (Jan) of Pendergrass, Clelle Kinney (Shirley) of Pendergrass; Sheila is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Strickland officiating.  The burial will follow in the Wyatt and Serena Williamson Family Plot at Evans Memory Gardens. Please join us in celebrating her life.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Patrick Pearson, Chase Pearson, Jaylin Reed, Casey Reed, Charles Underwood, Tyler Williamson, Steve Pearson, Chad Pearson,  and Anthony England.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy England, Clelle Kinney and Pinky Patterson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 6:00PM until 9:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Jefferson, Georgia.
