Mrs. Teresa Jan (Parks) Smith

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Teresa Jan Parks Smith, age 57 of Cumming, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, February 22, 2026.  Mrs. Smith was born in Gainesville, Georgia a daughter of the late James Willis Parks and Charlotte Rose Poole Parks.  Mrs. Smith was employed with Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  In addition to her father, Mrs. Smith is preceded by her husband, William “Bill” Delmar Smith.

Survivors in addition to her mother are two sisters, Kathy Lee (Jeff), and Sheila Burruss (Michael).  Brother, Tim Parks, step-son, Del Smith and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 27, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Phil Parks officiating.  Inurnment will take place on a later date at Georgia National Cemetery alongside her husband “Bill”.  The family will receive friends after the service at Evans Funeral Home.
