Mrs. Wanda Carlyn (Peek) McDonald

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson, Georgia,  announces the death of Mrs. Wanda Carlyn Peek McDonald, age 89, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Mrs. McDonald was born in New Mexico, a daughter to the late Carl and Eddie Barnett Peek. Mrs. McDonald was a sales associate with Belk in Seneca, SC and Lawrenceville, GA and was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Seneca, SC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McDonald, her brother, Gayland Peek and her sister, Betty.

Survivors include her daughters, Carla Pettis and her husband Anthony of Lincoln, AL, Pat Strickland and her husband Melvin of Jefferson, GA; son, Charlie Payne and his wife Charlene of Fletcher, NC; brother, James Peek of Pheonix, AZ; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Oconee Memorial Park, 1923 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Seneca, SC 29672.
