Ms. Beverly Sue McCune

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Ms. Beverly Sue McCune, age 74, of Braselton, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Ms. McCune was born in Columbus, Georgia, a daughter to the late Hershell Herman McCune and the late Ann L. Smith. A 1968 graduate of Jordan Vocational Highschool, Ms. McCune graduated with a BA from Columbus College, had a long career as a customer service representative and attended her home church North Highland Assembly of God.

Survivors include her sons,  Adam Owens and his wife Andi of Commerce, Jason Owens and his wife Amy of Braselton,; sisters, Barbara Strickland of Columbus, GA and Bettye Garner of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Alex, Cameron, McKenzie, JoJo, Emily, Isabel and Molli; great grandchildren, Claira, Judah and Roman also survive.

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. McCune’s remains were cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held in Columbus on a later date.
