Ms. Carolyn Covington

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Ms. Carolyn Covington, age 83 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Monday, April 6, 2026.  Ms. Covington was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late Hoke and Maebelle Purcell Covington.  Ms. Covington attended Faith Baptist Church and was a retired Accountant with the Jackson County Water Authority.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Covington is preceded by a brother, Horace Covington and a nephew Greg Beck.

Survivors include her sister, Janice Massey (Jerold) of Jefferson.  Brother, Buster Covington (Joyce) of Jefferson.  Niece, Christie Beck of Jefferson.  Nephew, Russell Massey (Nancy) of Jefferson.  Great nephews, Trey Beck, Trent Beck and Joshua Massey (Briley) also survive.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 9, 2026 from Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia with Reverend Stephen Burrell officiating.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Buster Covington, Trey Beck, Trent Beck, Jerold Massey, Russell Massey, and Joshua Massey.  The family will receive friends at the graveside.
